I have a 03 cavi with AEM CAI, high flow 2.25" exhaust, P+P Exhaust manifold. I am looking at the Jbodyperformance stage 2 cams, and the computer upgrade. with my mods and the new ones i listed do you guys think i could hit mid 14's. if not what else can i do to get down there. i want to stick to the NA thing so i know it going to be tough. I also have pretty good rubber(a little wider and stickier than stock) and a decent suspension.

for starters throw that exhaust manifold in the bush and get some damn headers. besides that it sounds like your on the right track. Good tires and good launching techniques will go along way.

ya the exhaust manifold was just a winter project. but i believe there were some gains as i stated in an older post.

what is the computer upgrade?
Look into a port and polish with 1mm oversized valves and a 62mm throttle body. You should be there with that and what you mentioned.
jbodyperformance now offers computer tuning. they can tune for FI, Cams, and most other performance upgrades. go to their site for all the details. a local engine shop should beable to do the p+p and the vavles right? maybe i should just get their racing head and piston at 11:1 and a few other goodies and go for 13'sNA if thats even possible not sure.

im considering more PNP work from JBP too. All their port and polish products and head kits are on sale. This makes it even more appealing.
With cams, motor mounts, full exhaust, intake etc... you should be capable of edging into the 14's already, but you really need to be a good driver. Like a 2.1 or faster 60' time. Remember that power isn't the only important thing in racing, if you can't get a good launch you'll never make use of that power properly. If you're running the stock RSA tires, air them down to 15 psi, and do a 5K clutch drop in 2nd gear in the burnout box. If you're using aftermarket tires then play around with it.
If bone stock eco's can run 15.4's with a full interior, then one with cams and other mods should be able to do 14's. But it all depends on the driver. I know a guy with a 200 whp Jetta that can't brake 15's cuz he can't drive for his life.

Well i am pretty sure that i will be getting the stage 2 cams and tuning. there is a track in calgary that i can get times. i know it is extremely hard to push a cavi into the 13s NA but could you imagine the look on the face of the driver in the vette when you stay with him or only lose by a bit in a cavi with no sound of a BOV or whine from a charger. for now i want to get to mid 14s which is not that hard will just take some time and a bunch of money.

keep us posted i honestly believe an Eco can reach 13's n/a myself. im attempting the same feat slowly
04 sunfire auto, mid 15's n/a, and still going

if a 2.2 ohv can reach 13's N/A and a 2.4 can do it N/A i am DEF sure an ecotec can.
its just a matter of "who spends the right amount to do it, or who gets it done first"
I think a 14 N/A for a ecotec is very easy. I ran a 15.4 with just an intake. Get mounts, header, exhaust, cams, p&p and I think you will deffenatly be in the 14s.
i hear a big rubber band can get you there as well. not sure if it is a sanctioned modification though. hope this helps.......sigh.....i'm bored
