Finally got my header today, not too impressed with the quality, the header itself is pretty nice (black steel). But the freakin flange bolt nuts that came with it are literally oval shaped it looks like theyve been sqeezed together in the middle. So Ive gotta get 2 nuts (haha 2 nuts). Also what in the sam hill is the 1 3/4" exhaust clamp for? The thing has to be welded to the existing cat so why the clamp. The instructions are about lame not very detailed. But hey it only costed $160 guess I can deal with a little crap.
The nuts are made that way so that they wont back off, there self locking. So unless you use lock washers I would just use the nuts that came with it
^^^ like he said the nuts are crimped , if you use regular nut they will loosen up and cause leaks
also pay attention to the sticker that tells you the paint will burn off
the clamp is there cause not everyone has a welder in their garage , so you can install it then take it to get welded
the instructions are pretty basic , because the install it self is basic , just euse your stock gasket with the header
people that dont have a clue , shouldnt speak about quaility
Why didn't you get ceramic coated?

That was awfully harsh
ne how thanks for the clarificationMy previous cars header didnt have nuts like that (it makes sense to have them self locking that way). I didnt get a ceramic coated one because I wasnt really concerned about the looks of the header just the performance aspect, 160 is alot cheaper than over 200 for like 7hp.

a little less harsh than you saying

the armor coating(metalic ceramc) isnt just for looks , it helps protect the headerfrom the eliments , it is a thermal berrier -which help keep the heat insside the header , as well as to keep under hood temps down
header wraps will void the warrenty
yea Ive heard negative stuff about header wraps about it can cause the header to crack due to heat stress.
What are the manifold bolt and flange bolt torque specs? I don't have this info
My cardomain
tight works , lol
same as stock , the 1install i did i just went tight and he hasnt had any problems
ah, seems everything on the eco needs to be torqued to "tight" hahaha
My cardomain
Slapped it on today, pleased with the results helped mid range to top end some. No leaks which is a good thing. It says 30-35 ft lbs. for the manifold bolts. Anti seize is a good idea as well.

Toight like a toiger... Just have to make sure they have aged enough though.
Hey I checked out your Cardomain website like the looks. Before I go and order my header what does it sound like with the reactive exhust backing it?? Doesn't sound like a ricer does it??
this is why i don't like pacesetter. then again, you get what you pay for.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
