hey i wondering if anyone has had or have heard good reviews about rs type muffler and megan racing muffler, iv searched to see if anyone with a cavalier have had these but can't seem to find anything, i used to have a thermal exhaust on my cavalier but unfortuantly sold it, i was hoping these two brand would compare in sound because i loved my thermal but just don't have enough money to buy another one. Any advice would be appreciated.. thanks
all i can say is cops tend to pay attention to aluminum wings and oriental cannons.

To tell you the truth, when you get to companies like your mentioning, they are all the same. Really, most mufflers are the same (as far as the "fart" cannon types). If you want a nice sounding muffler and nothing that will whine from 2 miles away, I would suggest an oval style muffler from Magnaflow or Borla. I currently have Magnaflow Stainless Steel Mufflers and love the sound and look of them. I have 4 inch tips on each muffler (I have a dual muffler setup).
To each is own though...if you like that style, go for it but in all honesty, there is really no difference except probably sound. One might be louder than another. Good luck in your search.

I know Megan Racing makes excellent quality products. I wasn't even aware they made a catback system for the Cav until about a year or so ago. I've seen them, installed them, heard them, blah blah. You should pick up their catback, they are always going for around $300 on Ebay.

thanks for all the responses.
it'd be nice if i had a better idea what engine you are running in your car and mods and so forth. at this point i'd recommend a 4-2-1 OBX header, carsound 2.25" car (part number 53005) and the full Megan Racing catback system. you'll have a very nice flowing exhaust.

i think im gonna try that idea im prolly gonna go with a pacesetter header instead because i think obx is a lil to pricey for me , then a high flow , then the megan catback probably.. my car is a 04 cavalier ecotec..with just a homemade intake .. i forgot to list it my car in the profile.
