E-mail Karo. I asked this a few months back and he said he could get them. To me that would be my first place to order from.

The coils can be used on most dis gm cars, so you're not stuck buying them from j-body companies. Summit et al can get them for you.

5.5mm summitracing got it very quick...installed, better idle, didn't see too much of a gain, just a lil more midrange and better throttle response.

Anyone have the specs for the stock DIS coils on the 2.2OHV setup??
I can't find that information as of yet and need it to determine if I should change the 2.2DIS coils to the MSD for even better spark.
Event, what do you think?? I don't know if you read about the ignition setup I have but would like to get more potential from the setup if possible. Let me know.

IMO this was the best "bang for the buck" mod that ive done even though i didnt gain and hp/tq(maybe a little 1-2tq) but the car feels much better overall.

sorry i dont have the spec's but i think the msd coils just make the spart "hotter" not quicker...

someone correct me if im wrong.

Not sure but think the factory coils put out 40kv but can't be sure and that is why I'm asking.
I know the MSD setup runs 40kv but if the factory coils are the same, why bother.
I'm still researching this and hope to find out soon.

blu, long time man.

not sure on the stock setup. i actually have one sitting here. i was planning to take it apart for some years now and see how many winds are on it.

i know msd uses like 80 winds and handles 40,000v

accel uses 70 winds and handles like 45,000v max

msd ones seem to be more stable. not sure if i have seen your ignition setup. is it gonna be a single coil per cylinder setup like scrufdog used?

No, here is the pictures of it and here is the writeup I just finished and posted all over the place.
It works great and you may be interested in it. It hasn't been well received here but can tell you, it's a mod that any 2.4 owner should do.

Event, yeah, it's been awhile since I've been on and have been steady with my Paintball team and just getting back on track with the 'blu. Better things are coming.
