In the middle of installing my OBX header on my 2000 Sunfire (2200) and after bolting it to the block I went down under the car and realized that the joint where the extension pipe meets up to the header is blocked by a bar that runs from the bottom of the transaxle over to the lower motor mount (near). I have removed this bar so that I can make the connection but what now? I'm thinking I will have to put the bar back on cause it's there for a reason (what, I don't know). Any suggestion?
you have 3 choices of what to do.
1. take off your header and stay stock. (not likely)
2. take the bar off, it is mostly for vibration dampening. (good solution and quick)
3. fabricate bar to fit around header joint, possibly best way to go but not neccessary.
have fun, and re-use the stock gasket if it isn't messed up.
i took mine off when i installed my header last summer...haven't had any problems since
that must be a 2200 thing cause i never ran into that problem.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

Welcome back event !
I had a problem with fitment issues on my OBX 2200 headers, so i sent them back and went with pacesetter.
The OBX's on my 2.2 had very poor fitment as well. Mine rubs on the transmission pan.
event? who is that? i heard he was a moron, and not to trust him.
welcome back man, long time no see.
