hey...i was thinking about buying the rksport dual exhaust setup from their website but i havent heard a sound clip and ive heard two different stories. Ive heard that it sounds really deep and low sounding(which is what i want) and ive heard that it sounds really raspy and everything. Please post a sound clip site or just give me your review of it. Thanks!

ive heard the single tip on both 2.2's and 2.4's IMO it sounds more raspy than the quad tip dual setup, but thats just my opinion

dont get the exhaust from rk sport
get it from karo@carcustoms.net , or jim@gravanatuning.com
Ive got it on my car, in short, its both, for normal driving at low to mid RPMs its pretty deep and nice sounding, but when i get on it, it gets a bit raspy at high RPMs, you can add a resonator if you want, that should probably even it out to where you'd like it. In my opinion, i didn't by them for the sound, i bought em for the look, man i just love symmetry
Ok, thanks for the 2 POSTS! ...so your telling me that no one has a sound clip of these? or do they just not read this topic? lol anyway Cory, you got any pics of your setup from the back? does anyone have pics of this setup from the back?

i have a friend that has it on her sunfire. sounds like crap.
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
i have it on my cav. it sounds really bad when its cold, but once it warms up it has a nice deep tone. i'm pretty satisfied with the way it sounds. once i install my header and hi flow cat, i'll definitely be investing in a resonator though. a lot of people on here say it sounds horrible once you add a header.
I've got a friend whos got that exhaust, its way too raspy/ricey, I don't like it at all
there is a sound clip posted a few weeks back...do a search for magnaflow...that is who makes the RKSport one.
this is my sig
If u don't plan on getting a header and diff catalytic converter later on, I would say go for it. It sounds great with stock pipe. If u plan on getting an aftermarket header and after cat converter~ full exhaust, I would seriously suggest getting a big resonator.
I had just the exhaust on my car with stock pipe, stock header, stock everything and it sounded pretty good. It had a nice deep tone to it. I put my rksport header (which I would not recommend) on and all my other nice goodies and it sounded nice and ricey.. still does because I haven't had a chance to purchase a resonator. =((

SOOO true. I had the dual cat back for a while and it sucked in the cold. It was raspy but once it warmed up it had a nice tone.
I installed my 4-1 header and it got annoying even after I fixed the exhaust leaks.
Have a good one,
Justin

^^^^ same thing here.
Got the 421 off rk and the dual. Its realllllll raspy when it first starts up but give it a few and ull like it. I liked the sound out of it alot more when i took of the cat to see how it sounded. REAL deep then. You can get away without a cat on it around town and such as long as you dont hit over about 3 grand. I've already been on the phone getting on to the free way and getting on it pretty good and the person on the other end wont be able to hear you.
It was fun but I put it back on so I wouldn't get pulled over. Hope that helps.

I also have the RK sport dual, it sounded ok until i hollowed out my cat, now its loud as crap and raspy.... Its whatever though, i dynoed 136WHP and 141 pounds of torque with a AEM CAI, hollow cat, Rksport dual... IMO the horsepower makes up for the sound.
Eh, and i will have a nice lil pssshhh sound in another week so its all good.
But i have to say, i get plenty of compliments how the duals LOOK on my car, a TON more than i do about how they sound. I agree a big resonator will make a big difference.

what a dumbass. go be an @!#$ someplace else
i bought the dual cat back, not the quad tip.......obx racing 4-1 headers, high flow cat, stock resonator, and a weapon r intake, all on a 2.4l sunfire, sounds sooo good....but yeah just let your car warm up before you go out driving, u should anyway, plus the dual rounds out the back look very nice.......it's fairly deep, but definately doesn't sound like a civic or an integra...haha, anyway i'm exceptionally happy with the exhaust system, i also have o2 simulators for it.....everything is very nice, just done, last week.....
Never liked the sound of that set up.
