Ecotec tach install question
Wednesday, April 06, 2005 1:29 PM
I have a 4-in-1 tach... RPM, water temp, oil temp, and boost. The only thing I need to hook up is RPM. In the instructions it says: black to good ground, red to 12V source, yellow to dashboard lighting circuit, and green to the vehicle tachometer signal source.
I got everything but the yellow and the green. So where is the dashboard lighting circuit and the vehicle tachometer source? I have a 2004 Cavalier ecotec.
Thanks in advance...

Nevermind, found what I needed, but just be sure, with the info above, the red will go to something like to wipers, the yellow I am still confused about but will do my best, the black is a given, and the green goes to the pink wire? But will it give me full RPM reading? I read, if I understand it right, that it will only give me half of the reading. If so, how do I get the full?

You need a tach adaptor.
