I have a high flow cat and cat back exhaust all clamped on. I can hear the exhaust leaking out right under me (coming from the cat.) and pretty sure that it leaks out of the clamped spots throughout the exhaust system. Do these leaks effect the performance or anything if at all?
If before the cat, they do have potential to make your car throw a cat code...I know from experience. Get them sealed up.
A leak will decrease performance. I will suggest getting it welded on there
I kind of figured that it decreased performance and made an appointment to have it all welded, but I dont understand how such small leaks can cause any effect. How much of an effect could it really have?
A small leak of time has an overall huge differance.
Like a hole in the bottom of a boat. A little water cant do much, but a little water over time can sink it.
“Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely
true.
Cannon fodder is my daddy.
that was a reallyyy bad comparison lol
What if your exhaust leaks on your boat?
then you bore that hole out in the bottom, so you can't hear the exhaust leak
If you have leaks they will cause your pipe to rust out around the leak. As far as performance I could see it messing with the flow or pulses but not having any kind of big effect on performance.
