Voltage Stabilizer

Alright, now I know more than likely it is just a way for a company to rim unknowing people off, but when I come upon things sometime curiosity just kills me and I wonder if there is any practical reason or gain to be had from things, so anyways to my point there are alot of seemingly little boxes resembling that of an MSD ignition box saying it is a voltage stabilizer, so enlighten me is there any practical reason for this?

Should be in Electrical forum.

My opinion is no. Anything in your car is made to operate with anywehre from 10 volts to 15 or 16 volts. The range may be even bigger on some devices.

All I would see it doing is giving your devices less voltage so that over time it can be the same.

In my personal opinion there is no need for a 'voltage stabilizer', and actually sounds kinda dumb. I think a capacitor would give you close to the same effect, but they also have a few other advantages.

Just something to make hypergrounding better.

Thank you for this information, I had a hunch they werent very useful or would provide little to no gains.
