OK so on monday i got the Dynomax Camaro style muffler installed and it is the super turbo muffler. It is way too quiet and my question is what are some things that i can do to make it louder.

I once thounght about exercising but then I laid down until the thought went away

2 ' x 1/2" auger bit on the drill?... Sorry but : break it or replace it, they're not exactly adjustable. If you have a resonator on there you might want to try having it cut out.

How bout a header for starters, then a high flow cat, and 2.25" piping Compression bent. That will make it louder.

I have a Dynomax Superturibo for a Camaro and i have a resonator but it is still fairly loud and not annoying.

Did you just install the muffler or did you redo you piping as well when you did it. You may still have your stock resonator on the car that will keep the sound down.

not meaning anything bad but i am a little older and i have knda out grown those loud irritaing mufflers that wake up a neighbour hood of you can hear from a mile off. If you want a lot of noise you should have gotten a Dynomax Ultra flo.

i'm going to be running a 2.5" exhaust. no cat, no resonator, and a Dynomax "Hemi" Turbo (alittle longer than the super turbo for alittle less noise). Shes going to purrrrrrrr like a kitten and be quiet untill i step in it

Thats not gonna be quiet at all to start. nor purring like a kitten, it will be more like popcorn popping in an aluminum can.

ahahaha, how much do you wanna bet? been doing exhaust/drive tarrain work for years now. its going to be a WHOLE lot more quiet than a regular "magnacrap" exhaust even with a resonator. it will also not resonate at all. These mufflers are very well known around the mopar world for being one of the best flowing quietest mufflers around.

sound clips to come

Get a sound clip when your done. and we will see who is right and who is wrong. Because i know someone with a dodge neon, and it sounded like crap.

the superturbo is about 6" shorter than the hemi-turbo. also alittle more on the loud side due to that. but to each their own, personally i like all of the -tubo line of mufflers...

I had a 96 grand am with headers 2.5" pipe 2.5" cat no res, and super turbo muffler.. It was F***in loud... got pulled over 3 times in a week, had a res installed, a big one.. obout 30inches long, got nailed again.... Sold car, bought new, quiet one and I will never go that aggressive again...

By the way it was a 2.4 5-speed. And on a side note, I noticably lost power with this setup...

I don't know how loud you wanna be but you don't have any other exhaust mods, according to your profile. As you get bigger piping and so on, it will get a little louder. Also, I've had a few Dynomax ST mufflers and these thing always start out quiet but progressively get louder but not annoying.
They'll never be as loud as Magnaflow or Flowmasters but it will get louder, trust me.

I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time and for those 15 seconds, I realize, I need boost.

Was that a Dynomax. Nearly all the Dynomax's i have heard quiet. they are not stock sound but better than the others. Mine is not that quiet but quieter than most or nearly all.

Loud exhaust more attention. Why attract unwanted attention from cops.

the dynomax superturbos are amonth the quietest muffs around! he was probably talking about a cherrybomb turbo not the super-turbo muffler. talk to any of the v8 crowd that use these muffs, i've used them in all applications before and yes the super-turbo itself will be louder than the hemi-turbo due to it being a shorter muffler.

and how the hell do you lose power from stepping the exhaust? *shakes head* you might have lost some bottom end torque but not hp by anymeans. The only reason i'm going with a 2.5" pipe is b/c i will be running a GM S/C setup next year with nitrous and alcohol injection.

That is not a Dynomax Superturbo. That look like a generic straight through muffler. Yeah that will be noisey.

yes, Its illegal almost everywhere. and your car relies on a signal from that other O2 sensor for info. And will make your car much more louder.

wont hurt the car @ all if you run an o2 sim, if you dont, you'll have a constant code on all the time

if you need to pass emissions then good luck b/c it is illigal.
