pacesetter header gasket replacement

lemme tell ya, what an experience, so much fun, that crappy pacesetter paper gasket is a major pita to remove, but the stock gm gasket goes on smooth.....so when installing a pacesetter header, take your stock gm gasket and use it instead of the pacestter one, it sucks big time

Um........Thanks?

Why did you even install the paper one in the first place if you think it is so bad?

Or did you have a shop install the header and didn't realize that there was a paper gasket on there?

i didn't know that it was paper, i had a shop put it on along with my exhaust system.........paper just isn't a good idea for an exhaust gasket

the biggest thing is to make sure and re-check all the nuts and bolts after the first heat cycle , and every day or so for about a week to make sure they stay tight

also its usually recomended to use a light coat of high temp silicone on each side of the gasket

once u get a header installed your supposed to tighten the bolts every 2 days for 2 weeks and then after that it should be tight forever...i learned the hard way blew my weapon r gasket after 3 days.
