Are there and TBs from and other engines that can bolt on to the 2.2 without much modification.

i just put a 2.3 tb on my 2200. no mods just used the tb and bracket had to turn the bracket backwards though took me a while to figure out. i think it is pretty nice. car runs smoother to. some guys had to grind the tb a little i didnt. it would hang up the first couple time i would WOT but i just wore it in by closing and opeing it and now it is awsome. hope this helps ya

^^^you can put a 2.3 tb on your 2200. you can find these tbs on 95 cav z24s and sunfire gts but also any other car that came with the 2.3, doesnt matter if it is a HO or LO. mine came from a 92 grand am i believe.

I ordered one from a 95 sunfire. do you think it will be ok? will my intake still fit?

the tb does bolt on with slight modification. the one you ordered will be ok as long as it was from a sunfire gt because they had a 2.3. if it is not a gt, it wont work. your intake should still fit, mine fit without a problem

no, 98 and newer 2200 only. you will probably have to buy one made to fit the 95-97 2.2

rsm sells them for 2.2 95-97 check them out, less hassle.

ok good.... They never said wheather it was from a GT or not. but I will call tomorow and verify that it is. Even if it doesn't fit I may be able to sell it as a core for someone that needs to bore it. If I do get it to fit good, I will sell my 2.2 for core.
