I have seen the difference in the manifolds in the pictures posted in another forum, but what about performance wise. Which one is better performance?????, because i saw the dyno with the LO and it gained 11 hp. What about the HO?
well obiously the HO since it is for high output
and 10 hp sounds like a lot for just the manifold, can you show us the dyno sheet? ive just never seen it
its in the forum called (DYNOed the LO intake)
The LO gained 11hp but lost like 2 torque. The HO may gain up to 12-13hp, but probably loose 5-7tq, just because the velocity of the intake gases are slower due to the larger plenum.
Remember, torque is what you feel, hp isn't everything.

your right i agree.... and i like my torgue, but which is preferred?
and is the throttle body on the LO the same....56mm?
now i'm all confused, i've been searching everywhere for a HO manifold now i hear i will loose 5-7 tq!!!!!!!!!!! so is it better to get the LO mainfold, slightly less HP but doesn't hurt my Tq too much (2 tq)
thats what im trying to figure out lol.... i have to money i just dont know which one to go with....
oh and yes, the LO TB is also 56mm
thanks man i appreciate the help
can u adapt a bigger throttle body to it? would u see more gains, or would a bigger one not fit?
anyone else have any input... im still kinda lost
yes you can always get the throttle body boared out to five you more air flow
as far as installing are both intakes the same? also will the throttle cable fit to the new intake manifold

yes it will.

which is better peformance????
ok well if you were to buy one which would be the smarter choice?
ho
if you want more power
thats what it was designed for
high output
tq isnt everything either
you have enough tq you can spare some
^^^ i agree
well my low end torque is where i get people in my races.... i jump and get out front off the line and thats how i win. If i didnt get that jump of the line, i would prolly lose most of my races.... that is my concern about the torque.
Shifted is right. with the larger plenum you will lose a little low end torque. but on the higher end you'll pick up some more. i would say stick with the HO manifold.

you guys are saying you will lose or gain torque and lose or gain hp. thats stupid when you dont consider the RPM of what you are saying.
to have more hp at the same rpm, mathmatically you MUST have more torque. the 2.3HO intake manifold was created to shine on the top end, hence the larger plenum, and the shorter and larger diameter runners. your powerband gets shifter to a slightly higher rpm range. when you race, im sure you rev it out to redline. you want your power in the mid to high rpm range to be most effective when racing. if you think you wont be able to pull ahead of someone at the beginning of the race, launch at a higher rpm where you make more power.

"The same thing we do every night, try to make the SVC go faster!"
we need dyno sheets damnit
or a spreadsheet will do
