installing a header on a jbody is tricky only because its hard to get fitted and you have to remove the alternator / belt. however, the concept is quite easy. unbolt manifold, unbolt b pipe, replace gasket, replace manifold, replace b pipe. as a side notice, be VERY VERY careful with the bolts holding the b pipe to the catalytic converter flange. they like to break off into the cat (DO NOT USE AN IMPACT ON ANY OF THE FLANGES EXCEPT FOR THE COMPRESSION SPRING BOLTS FROM HEADER TO B PIPE). otherwise... you will have to replace the cat and flange. trust me, i've been there.
