alright ive got a 97 2.2 im pretty familar with, but the 98 200 has a diff intake setup, ive got the rksport ram air hood, and i just wanna see what diff ways you guys are making the intakes more free flowing. keeping the box that says 2200 on it? or ditching it and using something else, thats what i want to know.
lol, 4th, oh well, im working on it.
i took the 2200 box out, and ran the intake straight to the throttle body, better airflow and makes a deeper throatier sound
i posted my intake in another thread
Clickyy
Here's mine. AEM all the way baby!
I think keeping the box might be a better idea.
My reasoning for this is because it is a larger area of air that you will have directly at the throttle body compared to a smaller tube....
Just a thought
click on sig below for cardomain page... no 2200 box AEM CAI all the way baby..!!
Here's mine when I first got it. It doesn't show my strut bar in the pic.

I dont have a pic at the moment but i have a vibrant WAI and it keeps the 2200 box on there and im happy with it i also have a quad4 tb so that helps.
Anyone have a pic of the AEM short ram? do you guys ever have problems or worry alot about water consumption with the CAI?

wow, i love the aem intake! i may have to pick one up
about $270 from gravanna. I have had no problems with water consumption on the AEM. i had my headlight out the other day to work on it and got caught in a rain storm with the filter exposed and the engine didn't even hesitate. Bad as s in my opinion
