Yeah well my transmission is screwed again. This time all the gears are still here but I seem to have killed a differential. So hopefully tomorrow I will fix it. Any one took there tranny out yet? If so let me know how you did it and what to look out for. Thanks.

thats what happens when you race to much lol my god cody every time there is a car meet up your tranny quits
Well if someone wants to race then I have to say yes.I really like to win so I drive it kinda hard so yeah....lol I am expecting anything to happen in every race I get into. I just gotta keep high hopes. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Beating a honda or tc,tiburon,eclipse,sentra,or whoever wants some. It just gives me the good ol feeling of winning in a domestic tuner...
I am still passionate about my car and it WILL get faster some day but until then I just gotta be happy. Trust me it will get fixed its my daily..hahaha

cody the trans removal is not hard at all. screw that its a pain in the ass. lol i did it bymyself but the only big problem is the little lip on the fram. cut it off and you will get it out easy
Alright well what lip is it? You talking about the subframe? If so then where is it? I will have a helping hand and some air tools. Think I can get this done in a day?

yea man it will take about 4 hours tops. its the piece that holds that bracket to the bottom of the radiator. just use a torch to cut it off or a cut off wheel. you will know what im talking about when you get there. but once you cut it off you twist the trans alittle and it falls right out.
a good reminder though when you do take it off check your rear main seal to cause mine started leaking after i put it back on lol

And 02cavcruzin, some of the guys on DGE can take apart a tranny and put it back together in record time. If you need help just let us know!
I'm having a hard time taking the tranny apart. I got it to the point of where I can almost get the bell housing off but something is still holding it on. I took the plastic cover off by the input shaft and removed the clip thats on the bearing but it still just won't come off. Do I have to take the actual bolt off that is on top of the bearing? I have tried and input shaft just turns. Is there any way to hold the input shaft without damaging it?
