well i think You need an auto ecu. I don't think you can reflash the ecu to an auto

Yes, its easy to use an auto harness on a 5 speed, not so easy to use a 5 speed harness on an auto. Just because there's a lot of wiring for the auto tranny (think the big plug), and you can easily convert an auto harness to a 5 speed.

ECU's are the same, you can flash the ECU from/to a 5 speed or auto from either one. You can even use the 2.2 (from the same year group) and have that flashed for the 2.4.

oh ok thanks shifted. so for my 2000 ld9 to work in my 97 i need a 95- 99 harness. but in order to use the computer it has to be the same year group as the harness? whether i reflash or not?
