Im in Houston, TX and I was wondering if anyone can refer me to a good head shop, for a quick re-surfacing and port/polish. I've tried the yellow pages...but as y'all know, its no help as to the quality of work the shop gives.
Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks!

Um not sure about there in houston but here in the dfw area i go to BDJ's racing he does great work there. Last time i was there he was working on porting some blocks by the looks of it
head shop....yeah I was about to tell about a great place, then remembered this is the car website, he must be talking about for his car....im dumb sometimes
what ever you do dont go to a performance shop for any labor work . they will tear you a new @!#$
you pay for what you get... 2 senario's here
1. a guy thats never done it but has the tools to and he just screws it all up
2. A perfomance shop that has been doing this all his areer and does a bad @$$ job on it
unless its the you know a guy that knows a guy that built worked for edelbrok or something.
nope he will give him a good deal actually i know him oh and he does excellent work yes it may be pricey but you get what you pay for.

Brian - Good Deals? Ramon u have lost ur mind! This guy is the most expensive person in the DFW! He does do pretty good work, but he is hella pricey!
as long as they have a flow bench its all good.. get the sheet for it and make sure its fine .. the old timer shop is better than a performance shop.. but ok .
I have to agree w/ Jaun on this one. Any old tyme "machine shop" Is going to be less expensive than your modern day "performance" shop. Port and polish and a resurface can be done by any competent shop no matter which style.
My Cardomain Page
Xtreme Horsepower = has full machine shop and flow bench very nice shop do good work too.

http://www.houstonperformance.com/ They do all the machine work for us. They do very good port work. Houston Performance did the port work on our 1999 Mustang Cobra that puts down over 1200hp, the owners twin turbo 2003 Mustang Cobra that put down a little bit over 1,000hp, and many other motors.
275hp & 306tq - 1999 2.2 ohv

-1996 2.4 liter + Turbo + Built motor + Torco + More boost = Lots o' Power
-2000 Mustang GT + 2004 Cobra motor, Whipple 2.3 supercharger,
