My company has offered me a position out in Denver. I have an 05 base cav with the sport apperance package. I just bought the car and have not had a chance to drive it in the winter yet. how does this car with the stock 16s handle the snow out there? I am pretty familiar with driving in the snow, I have lived in MI, and IL most of my life.
Thanks
Donovan
i drove my cav through the snow all last year no probs.
ive driven mine for 2 winters...no problems at all...im on stock 16s
Ive had no probs, on factory 14s!
I'm on 17's and haven't had too much trouble. I kept the stocks for winter but really didn't need them. I'm sure you'd be fine out here.
Also some friends have told me that since i bought my car out here in chicago, where the elevation is like 500 feet, and im moving out there where it is like 5k feet i will have to have the ecu recalibrated to deal with the thinner air. Does this make sense and do you know if the dealer charges to have this done??
Thanks
Donovan
You wont have to have anything done as far as tuning goes since our cars dont have a mass air flow sensors. BUT you will notice a HUGE difference in power, because of the lack of air. Im in florida right now and holy crap i can tell a difference in power. NO not in my car.(everyone else)
