I need to either get a crate 2.2 ecotec or one from a junkyard. Now the thing is at the junkyard around here the only car he had with a 2.2 ecotec was a 2005 malibu. Some book that the guy had said that the engine would not work in a cavalier though. Is this true? The engine looks exactly the same and bolts up the same. I know that I would have to use my stock fuel rail though but what else would make the engine not work in my 2002 cavalier? btw I have a manual and the malibu is a automatic (of course).

Throttle by wire maybe....I don't know for sure...
Of course...the cavalier is not suppose to have a 3.8 s/c either so books suck A$$.
