cruise control install HELP PLEASE

Can someone tell me what parts are needed to add cruise control to a 2000 cav with the 2.2 (non eco)? I see parts around, but I'm not sure if I am able to get everything I need, or if I'm going to end up not being able to get some part, which leaves me out of luck with the parts I've already purchased.

So, I'm looking for a list of (OEM) parts I need to get to be able to add cruise control to my cav.

Instuctions on how to do this ould be great as well. I see instructions on the jbo for a 2005 eco, but I assume that is a different setup than then 2000 2.2 (please let me know if I'm wrong).

Thanks!

I wanna use Flash for my sig but it doesn't work.

I had taken a look at that before, but it looks like it may be different on the newer models than on mine. Am I wrong on that?

Any idea where to get the wiring that is needed?

The switch and the module are available, but I assume there is other wiring I will need for this.

Is that all I need? Anything else?

The Audiovox aftermarket unit works well for me. I couldn't tap into the engine tach wire, my 'Fire's wiring didn't match the shop manual at all. Everything else works great. The cable has broken at the throttle a few times; been perfecting that a lot! LOL If you want pics, eMail me directly and I'll snap of some close-ups to send back.

its easy

all the parts i used were from a 98 and up.

cruise control module
braket that attaches it to the strut tower
throttle cable that attaches to the throttle plate
harness that goes from the module
turn signal stalk

make sure you have a haynes manual, and just splice into the main harness and voila

Isn't there a brake pedal sensor or something to that effect? I want to do this when summer hits.

Peace Out!

ok i was checking under my car..around the brake pedal and theres a step there that i guess something clips too. well theres nothing clipped to it ...here is sorta what im talking about

There is a cruise control release switch that needs to mounted in the bracket next to the brake light switch. This is in front of your brake pedal. If you have a manual transmission, there will be a similar switch to mount to the bracket in front of the clutch pedal. These are obviously there to turn the cruise off when you apply the brake or disengage the clutch. The harness will have connectors that plug into these switches.
