Possessed Car Starter

Just curious on what is causing this problem. My brother has an 05 Sunfire with a Viper remote car starter on it, and well today he was out of town and I came home to find his car running. He had been gone hours before I left, and his car was not running when I left. Then later, when I had to leave again, I go out to find his car running again...and he was still out of town with the keys!

What is causing this!?!?!?

You need a wiring diagram of two things. First one of the car, second one of how the system was installed.

Also who installed this for him?

Yes well the people at Best Buy dont have a clue what they are doing. They read a book, get certified and all the sudden can screw around with peoples eletrical systems.

what does his keypad look like? does it have a screen? If it doesnt have a screen.. tell him to start it then hit the AUX button. that should shut it off. If it has a screen, tell him to hold LOCK and UNLOCK at the same time, then get it and turn the key 2 clicks to run, hit the brake. Then turn the key back to off so the car shuts off. In both cases it should now be off. There is a setting to make the car run every 3 hours, ao if someone in the artic wanted to keep there car warm you'd leave this option on. If I didnt explain it correctly go to www.dei.com
For directed electronics. Good luck, Phil
