hi, seems like you guys here know quite alot. I'm wodering how hard it is to change a tcc solenoid on a 96' fire 2.4? Mine has gone the @!#$s and i need to replace it. also if anyone has any directions it would be great, thanks
Well on a '93 2.2 it is fairly easy, only the pressed metal side cover is removed, after removing left front wheel and splash guards.
I have not seen a 96 but they could be the same.
This is an excellent article by Chuck Kichline which I used to change my TCC solenoid in a '93 2.2, just in case it helps.
I changed mine in a couple of hours or so and it was an interesting job.
I know this is for a Fiero but ours are almost identical
My new solenoid was cheaper here in Canada from GM rather than an Autoparts store, don't forget to get a new side cover gasket as well.

Hope this helps

Well that doesn't help me, since mine is a 96' 4 speed auto, not a 3, i changed one on a 91' corsica 2.2, and it was easy, i just need to know if its more less the same job. thanks for the help tho, that is a very good article.
