Dropping the oil pan on a 2.4

I've got everything unbolted and it's hanging loose but it just wont come off? is there anything im missing?

Well, you might have to looen up the front suppoert beam towards teh front of the car. It is a big black metal beam that connect unernesth the front bumper. I remember when i took my tranny oiu that i had to remove it to get it out. As far as the pan not coming off. I woul try and use flat head screw driver to try and pry it loose. Ytr thta along with some WD-40. That shold do the trick. They can be a pain to get off if they have never been replaced before.

if u need tap (LIGHTLY) with a soft face hammer (i.e rubber mallet, plastic faced dead blow)

alright, i got it to come off, i had to remove the stud that goes from the bellhousing to the oil pan now just to replace my fried rod bearings...
