Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while (like years), but my buddy has a '96 Sunfire GT, he got it several months ago. It has an auto tranny. About a few days ago, he couldn't get it out of park, so I was looking under the hood and found the problem: the cable from the shirfter to the tranny got separated from the connection at the tranny. I'm not sure if its broken or can be fixed. Can someone enlighten me on a fix or should I just have the local dealer take a look? If it helps any on picturing his dilemma, its like looking at a washer (the end of the cable from the shifter) and a pin of some sort (the connection point at the tranny).
