I posted an add earlier, so far, nothing fixed with idle problem, fixing as money allows. I had another idea so i thought i'd post it. Could the tcc solenoid affect my idle if it was screwed?? Reason for this question is, i had codes run (my engine light comes on once and awhile) and the code that came up was for tcc release circuit, it seems that my solenoid has a short in it, and now after a fluid and filter change, it seems like its getting worse. My cruise control barely ever works, and i've already changed the switch on the brake pedal and it is adjusted right. It will work once and awhile, and when it does it tends to just stop working and sometimes not start working. I read another posting about tcc and idle so i don't know if it would affect it greatly. anyhow, does anybody know if its a big job to change one on a 96' 2.4 auto? i've done one on a 91' corsica and it was peanuts, is this any harder?? i'm running out of ideas already and the idle is starting to sicken me, same with the cruise control. and when the engine light comes on, ther rpm's jump to 3000, the cruise won't work unless i stop and shut off the car, same with the rpm going back down to 2500. any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks
