Cylinder 1 misfiring

Hey i searched and couldnt find anything on this. Heres the deal. Coolant leak and overheating. I replaced the thermostat, water pump, I replaced the head gasket. It ran alright for a few weeks then started doin the same thing. Had to keep puttin water in it and ran it like this for maybe 5 days. Then one day it didnt wanna start. I got it started and got it home decided not to drive it anymore. It was shaking cause water was in the cylinders no doubt due to another head gasket problem. I then replaced the head. Now it misses and sputters at idle and sputters but doesnt have a dead miss through the powerband. Funny thing is sometimes it runs ok sometimes it doesnt. Check engine light will come on and stay solid then when it flashes it runs worse. No rhyme or reason. No overheating so far though and its holding water. Diagnostic at Advance said Cylinder 1 misfiring and IAT (intake air temp)sensor issue. Tried a spark plug, wire, new coil, checked cylinder pressure-its ok, took valve cover off-looks right, tightened intake which looked loose at cylinder 1. Still didnt help. Replaced IAT sensor. Nothing. Im wondering if the computer is bad, or maybe going bad since it runs good sometimes and not others. But its ALWAYS sputtering. Any suggestions or ideas?

Did you have the head checked at a machine shop? I'm beting you warped it. Also did
you replace the head bolts with new ones as they are whats known as torque to yeild and cannot be re-used. They would give you bad torque readings and deff cause a problem. I'd say pull the head take it to a shop get it checked and go buy a Felpro
Perma-Torque headgasket and a new set of head bolts and you should be fine. No antifreeze got into the oil right? Cause thats a whole nother set of problems.

Hope this helps you

I used new head bolts, new gaskets, etc. I just put a brand new head on. I heard about a module on the coil causing this problem, Ive got one Im gonna try. Any other suggestions since its a brand new head? This is a strange deal. Thanks for the input, Jackalope. I appreciate it a lot.
