I woudln't say I'm an automotive noob, but I do learn as I go. I'm coming from working on an old 76 mustang with a V8, where the spark plugs were on the left and the right of the engine.
My mom has a 96 pontiac grand prix, with a v6. half the spark plugs face the front of the car, and half face the firewall. What technique is there to change the plugs between the firewall and the engine?
thanks for your help!

I use a spark plug socket with a universal joint, and a extension. Also you can remove the wish bone mounts and pull the motor forward with some RV straps. Its tight to work on and can be a head ache or first time doing them put their is room to get them out.

if the grand prix has the two front motor mounts, take those off, start the car, put it in reverse and the engine moves forward, then turn the car off, and it gives you about 6 more inches to work with, if it dosent have the two front motor mounts, get a skinny @ss kid with bonny arms, thats about the only way
