i had a blown head gasket. so when should i change my oil again. cause i know theres still alittle coolant in there
NOW! Any coolant in your crankcase is a bad thing. Keep checking it after you change it to see if it comes back.
Now. Water in the oil is not a good thing.
Yeah, the coolant in the oil can cause the bearings to wear.
i mean i changed my oil right before i changed the gasket. should i change it again
YES!! Change it now!! You should have changed the oil AFTER you changed the head gasket. What We have always done is poured diesel fuel down the crankcase before we put it back together, ( well on any small block we have done anyway!! ) that way it rinses out all the antifreeze in the pan. The after it was together we poured in fresh oil, the changed it in short intervals after to make sure it was clean!!
Take care & Keep us posted!!

If you are sure you don't have any coolant in the oil you do not need to change it. If you have any doubt at all, change it.
change the oil after the headgasket repair. then change the oil every 1000 miles for the next 3-4 oil changes to flush any remaining coolant left. if you want, you can send in a Used oil analysis to make sure repair was done correctly. www.bobistheoilguy.com is a good place to start. I have posted a few used oil analysis of my sunfire over there.
