heres the deal:
when going from a dead stop to a slow speed, i hear like a knock (just 1), then if i turn the wheel to the right (sometimes the left but rarely) from a slow speed i hear the same knock.
at high speeds of accelerating or turning i do not hear anything, its only at speeds between 0-10 mph, or less. i just had my tranny flushed/filter changed and refilled, so im pretty sure it isnt anything in the tranny.
both my engine mounts are bad, could that be whats making the noise? it hitting somthing? if so, why only at low speeds?
my car is lowered, but i lowered it maybe 3 months ago and just started hearing the noise last week, so i dont know if it could be a suspension component.

also: when i brake i hear the same knock sometimes. only rarely tho, but it has happened. and if i brake from a high speed i dont hear the noise once again until the speed is under 5 mph or so. (right before a complete stop)

Sounds like it could be your strut tower bearings. Mine are bad and the front end "clunks" when I turn the wheels to the right or left. Mine has been doing this for a few years and I am planning to replace the bearings in a few weeks. It wasn't until I joined JBO a little while back that I learned what it was. It isn't a safety issue and it doesn't appear to effect the alignment as far as I can tell. Mostly it is just tiresome to hear the clunk.
