Yes that is something I have been pondering for some time now.

what the heck would a full tank have to do with power? if anything it'd slow you down cuz its more weight.

Heres a thought. When you fill your tank up at the pump the gas is coming up out of the ground and its usualy cooler down there so your filling your car up with cooler gas.
Cooler = denser = more power = . Just a thought.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

Could be that with more weight transfer to the rear with a full fuel tank , there is less weight on the front drive Axel so the car spins the tires easier and makes it feel like the engine is making more power?

Thats Him Officer The WICKED One.

ive herd this before

i think it has something to do with the fuel pump having to work less, more pressure in the tank, blah blah the car doenst really perform better it just kinda runs better

i second that motion, because there is more fuel pressing down on the pumping elements, the pump has to exert less force to drive the fuel through the lines, sort of a syphoning action.

Maybe for the ultimate fuel system performance boost in this fashion

Relocate your tank to the roof?

Freakin morons.... When will they learn. Hold On Not Done Accelerating

Why not just mod the gas tank, put the pump i nthe bottom of the tank, and add another tank in the trunk that is directly fed to the other tank so you have one super tank. You wouldnt need to fill up for months! but when you did it would be like 200 dollars lol.

Girls suck, buy a fast car.

fuel pump can push fuel easier.

also the fuel pump is running cooler as it has the gas drawing the heat from it
