AC clutch and options???

well my AC clutch has turned into the rabid whore of squealing(for lack of better term) and i can't stand my car sounding like i do no maintenance on it. i am under the impression that you can replace/rebuild the clutch, which is fine since compressor runs ok, but that "it should be left to professionals, blah, blah, blah", or you can just replace the whole compressor which i would assume would come with a new pulley and clutch.

has anyone done this and could let me know what kind of PIA it was. if it is gonna be way more efficient to change out the compressor i guess i will do that , especially if the cost of a rebuild kit, if made for the AC clutch, is anywhere near the cost of the compressor. hell advance or autozone have lifetime warranties on almost everything now anyways.

anyone that has done this, if you could throw out some PARTS ONLY prices that would be great help, thanks in advance>
