ok ive searched but just wanted to make a topic to be sure , i have a fairly new alternator, about 9 months old, and optima red top battery, ive replaced both of them cause my subs killed my original alternator. so i put a oem one back in worked fine, serpentine belt is new, so today i start my car and i hear a clicking noise well more of like a very loud vibrateing noise coming from the alternator area, it bothered me alot so i asked my boss who has worked with chevys before and the first thing he says is .. its the alternator, alternator, water pump or the tensioner pully is bad. so i drove home after work and the noise got worse. still my battery light isnt on now its a real loud clicking, my lights go on my radio works, my battery light is off. i asked my dad and he doesnt think its the alternator, could anyone add any information please thanx
