04141 code?

my check engine light comes on periodicaly and the code is P04141 ( O2 sensor heater circuit fault Bank 1, sensor 2) what the heck is this and what is wrong? both O2 sensors were replaced about 10,000 miles ago! any help?

Bank 1 sensor 2 is the O2 sensor behind the catalytic converter. If the light comes on and off; sounds like a loose connection. Unless you have had some exhaust work done. Please say you replaced the O2 sensors with AC Delco, and not some other brand like Bosch.

Check the wire that runs from that sensor to where it connects to the engine harness. Look for the connector, and see if it is securely attached to the harness, or any wires that might have been damaged.

found the problem...i did have exhaust work done and the wire to the engine block got hot and was exposed...i fixed it today. no more code... and yes I believe they are AC Delco...but why not Bosch?
