I'm not sure which one it is but the AC Delco list prices for your car 95 2.2:

CrShftPosSen: $140.00
Knock Sensor: $38.00

When looking for my crank sensor, I unplugged that one above the filter (2.2L 4cyl, VIN "4") and started the car, and got a code saying it was the Cam sensor.

The car should not run with a faulty crank sensor.

Old topic, I know---> but was this crank sensor problem ever resolved?
