Thursday, September 01, 2005 9:00 PM
so i went to leave for work today and when i took the ebrake off my drl lights flashed a couple times then the service light came on
now my headlights work when i turn them on, but neither come on in the DRL position, you know, lights off, ebrake down
all my fuses are fine, could it be my DRL relay??

Please do a search here in maintenance for DRL.There is a some info u are looking for there.More than likely its either one of two things 1 the relay is bad. 2 the headlight switch is bad or going bad.U can either replace the relay and if nothing changes it's ur headlight switch itself, which will need to be replaced. This problem has been a issue with the Js for some years espe with teh drl on them.OK

the same thing happened to me check your headlight bulbs both high and low beams, my passenger side high beam was out causing this same malfunction. the drl circuit is somehow "grounded" through the headlight, took me forever to find the problem cuz i never use my high beams, but problem solved!

Ugh, learn to use the search button. So many repeat posts that aren't necessary.

Look here.
