Just replaced the water pump and puting the chain back on....but the crank will not move far enough to be TDC?? it will rotate half the way then it seems like it is hitting something???......the intake and the exaust is timed ( i have 8mm bolts in the gears).....anyone have any suggestions??...

Be careful............what are you doing? if you try and do a full rotation of the crank your gonna hit the valves.................you should have never turned the crank with the chain off. go backward from the way your stuck and get it to TDC hopefully you didnt already do damage to your engine. When you took the chain off wasnt the crank at TDC? this is why you need to ask questions before you get into this kind of thing.
