new cat for 91 sunbird / e-test

hey... i have a 91 sunbird that im using as a winter car. it needs a new cat to pass an e-test. i just bought a universal cat, im gonna weld it in there and get the e-test done quick in hopes that itll pass.

the top of the engine was recently rebuilt (head & gasket), and the car actually runs very well. does anyone think this will have trouble passing an e-test? and are there any other tricks i can do to get it to pass? like should i have it good & warm before the test?

Best thing is to run the car at highway speeds for ten to twenty minutes that burns off any initial start up fuems or rather unburnt fuel then go get ur emissions test.U should be fine with a new cat for sure.OK

opps forgot did u change that 02 sensor if u didn't U SHOULD!!!Any crap that was in the cat blows back onto the o2 sensor and contaminates it.This is a common practice for most shops to HIGHLY recomm doing after a cat replacement.Spend the 20bux and change it,I know I would.
