hey i have a 98 2200 with 94k and it has been ideling funny and getting worse and worse gas mileage so i pull the dip stick and it smeels like gasoline is motor shot

Gas in the engine does not mean it's "gone", but you do have a problem to fix. Either too much fuel is being delivered, or the right amount of fuel is there, it's just not getting burned on the combustion stroke.

I'd start by pulling the plugs. Take a look at the business end. Does one or more look black and wet? If you're lucky, they're the original plugs and just need replaced. Do this and change the oil, as prolonged use with gas in the oil is not good for bearings.

If that does not solve the problem, move to the wires and coil packs - you may be losing voltage. If those check out OK, then it's over to the fuel system. At this point, best let a pro handle the diagnosis and repair. HTH....

new plugs 10000 miles ago there is a ticking to i think it might be a piston ring because engine misses on a certain stroke

just checked plugs all are dry except one on drivers side but now its ideling even worse
