Update: Eco @200k
Friday, August 05, 2005 10:14 PM
In tallking to my friend over the phone, he told me the cav just rolled over 200k..
(it's a 03 Cav)...

I've tried to to get him to send me a pic of the Odo...but his phone doesn't work
right (goof dropped it... )

Interesting though that he told me that the Starter and the Alt went at the same time..
(1st major issue so far)

Guess I should watch out for that...

And yeah, he's on the road a lot....

That doesn't surprise me much. As long as the motor and tranny are maintained properly, it'll keep going and going like the energizer bunny. My aunt has a Acura Vigor, i'm not sure which year though, and it has over 1 million miles on the original motor and transmission. It still runs lika a champ too.

eh 78k roughly. intake and exhaust only. i do have some issues with gas mileage. but, i think i just need to clean the injectors and get different plugs. i got the bosch +4. ever since i put them in, my exhaust pops and snaps like crazy. NEVER did it with the stock plugs. might jsut go back to them.

36k on my 04...had it 14 months. front suspension has more creaks and groans that a room full of old people. steering, upper strut mounts are making the most noise. no actual failures of anything yet though. engine and trans are tip-top. im chocking the noises up to that wonderful mexican assembly quality, since i had a 99 fire(made in canada) for over 100k and it never made any of these noises. also find it funny thay the sentra se-r is having build quality problems...and its assembled in mexico too. gotta love NAFTA...

I just turned over 43,000 miles on my eco with no problems, I have a friend who has a 97 with the 5spd who only has 35,000 miles. Probably hard to beat that, lol.

Yeah, I hear ya on the brakes, crappy rotors, major pulsation after 25k, now 45k, and doing it again, good thing they are cheap, and easy to replace.
I think most of it is due to the ABS hammering on them in the snow (bad winters in OH)
Suspension makes a few noises as well, but bad roads will do that.
My car took so much abuse this past winter in Cleveland, I'm surprised it look/runs as well as it does.

25,000 on my 2003. I love having a second car to keep most of the miles of my Cavalier.
No problems so far.
