I installed a AEM cold air intake on my ecotec and it came with a sponge breather element to put on, is it for the fuel or is it actually the PCV? Well my dad was taking it off and the element melted in his hand and for right now its got a chunk of furnace filter wrapped around the opening. I would like to put something 'better' on there but the tube-like thing is 1/8" diameter and all the breather filters are 3/8" diameter, what should i do? does the 1/4" really make that much of a difference? any tips or anyone have the same experience that could lend some help?
