excessive ticking

ok

I've had my head ported and polished back in feb, and I had JBP silicon race springs installed, with stainless steel valves, chromoly locks, chromoly pushrods. everything is pretty good and the car runs very strong

but my valves tick like no other OHV I've ever heard

it's beyond ANNOYING

at first I thought it was just my radical valvetrain upgrade... but now I'm not so sure and since I changed so much on the car and it took a long time to get it back together I wasn't sure if it was any one thing or not.

anyway I was wondering how I could check the valve tolerances and possibly adjust the lash on them so they dont click anymore because its driving me insane.

Or maybe its something else? any suggestions as to what it could be? I can post sound clips if it would make it easier to diagnose...

I don't think its that, its high up on the engine sounds like its coming out from right under the valve cover.
