THE TRANSMISSION WORKS FINE BUT WHILE I'M GOING DOWN THE ROAD OR STOP AT A REDLIGHT, ETC... THE TRAC OFF LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR SHORT SHIFTS AND FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS TRYING COME UP THROUGH THE CAR, COULD THIS BE A SENSOR OR TRANSMISSION GOING OUT.

sounds like the transmissions connection to the computer may be loose, I would get under there and reseat the plug.. this is the same plug where you would plug in the autotrans interceptor. When unplugged the trans goes into LHM 'Limp Home Mode'.
If its not that you may have a short further up or down on in the line.
Wouldnt hurt to do a PCU reset, unplug your negitive battery terminal for ~5 minutes, from the sounds of it this prolly wont fix your problem, but its worth a try.
