wrong way to do compression tesr?

i unpluged all the fuses so no fuel woulf go into the cylinders but the gauge was reading about 240 psi and one was about 230 psi seems to high what happened?
what about the difference bettwen cylinders ? less power from that cylinder?

If the difference isnt more than 10% between cylinders it is fine.

Although for some reason 240 seems pretty high, how many miles are you at.

Damn no edit button, 10% some people say, also within 30psi of each is good.

i have 148000 km on it and no prblems yet knock on wood, i owned it for two years the past may and its always started even in -40 i went to toronto
