Yesterday i went to disable my drl, and for some stupid reason i wasn't paying enough attention and cut the wrong wire, I Cut black on the bcm, grounded it to chassis, i corrected the problem, but now the car wont start, its like i tripped the passlock, dies one second after starting. And i can't find out what that wire was for in my haynes manual, anyone have any idea on what the wire is or what i did? Im starting to think i fired the bcm. I assume black is ground but i can't confirm it and it wouldn't make since that if i grounded a ground, it. Could it be i tripped the negative on the passlock and smoked it?
Do this:
Let the car sit for an out or so.
Then, go out and try to start it. When the car dies, leave the key on for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, turn the key off and let it sit for about a minute.
Vehicle should now start and run. This will only fix a theftlock.
^^^What he said. I've heard this alot, and that is the solution that I have heard most often, and it does work.
theftlock isn't flashing constantly though, it flashes 6 times then stays on constant =\
That is the way it works. Did you try to reset it yet?
my remote starter has set it off before, the theft light flashes for 10 minutes straight then goes constant, its not doing that now. I haven't had a chance to leave it for an hour then try resetting it, ill do it tonight

that worked for me when i swapped clusters. what you wanna do is turn the car on and let it die. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY,leave it in the on position. dont open the doors, turn on the radio, anything. the light will flash for about 10 mins, then stay on for about 5. after about 5 mins you'll hear the computer "fixing" itself. after the noise goes away, turn the key to the off position but dont take it out. leave it in the off position for 15 seconds, then start the car. this worked for me when i swapped in a new cluster

ill try that, but as i said, the theftlock light isn't flashing for 10 mins, it only flashes 6 times and then stays on constant
tried both, no go, pretty sure its gonna have to get towed to the dealer for some tech-2 service =\
apparently im not stupid, im just blind, just got the car back from the dealer, apparently i accidently unplugged one of the wiring harnesses from my remote starter
