I have a 2000 Cavalier with the 2.2 and a stick on the getrag. I have 80,000 miles on it. I am getting a popping sound coming from the front end when i take off some times. I am not sure what it is? I have had the under carriage loose a year ago so it might be loose. But with the age i am fearing the cv shafts? Please help

Your fear may be right i would definatly have the CV Joints checked out cause last time i had a poping that was the problem.

i had a popping noise that started one day, and not even 24 hours later, it caused $1000 worth of damage to the suspension. it was a cavy, but still, i would get it all checked out and figure out the problem right away.
