low coolant level. mine came on once when i tore out of a driveway in reverse, did a 180, and slammed first. "pittman" manouver i think thats called? hmm...now i'm curious, someone tell me what that "stunt" is called.
That cop took the whole thing way out of context. I mean, I was only going 145 Km/h in that
80 km/h zone because I was drunk and I wanted to get off the roads.
it is the low coolant lite (i work at a dealer) We always called that stunt a rockford since JAmes Garner used to do it every episode on the rockford files. It was my favorite thing to do in my 79 firebird
rockford, totally

just add a little. it probably just came on since you were on a ramp and not level ground.
have you ever flushed your coolant? now would be a good time.
i used to have overheating problems b/c my radiator fan broke. im sure i lost some coolant from it going out the overflow tube. instead of just adding some, i flushed the system

More specifically, it indicates the coolant reservoir tank level is low.
it isnt exactly low coolant...there is a sensor in the bottom of your reservoir that tells you the coolant level...my low coolant light pops on then turns right off every time i accelerate hard from a stop....the sensor could just be going out like mine is
The sensor should always be submerged in coolant regardless of how fast you go or how hard you stop. They should be a few mil in the tank always, AT the very least.

no lol.... i mean he might have a bad sensor like i do...not that the sensor is not being submerged
I have to pick up some Dex cool anyway, I'm going for the Ecotec sway in late July or August. I haven't had any cooling problems whatsoever, so unless it happens again, I'm not going to worry too much. I spilled out about a pint or so when I lifted the reservoir out putting in the top motor mount. if its gone this long it can hold out a little longer
thanks everyone, still haven't found that book, grrr, I know it will show up when I don't have a use for it.
