Hey i do not own a jbody but my girlfriend just sold her ram and got her older sister 97 Cavy. I'm pulling a p1133 Code. Now after looking around at my work i get this defintion "ho2s insufficient switching sensor 1/Bank 1 fuel control shifted lean (FAOSC)"
Now the code on the read says Manufacr control Fuel air metering.
By common sense ho2s should mean heated o2 sensor but thats bank 2 isnt it since the 1 wire one should be considered bank 1 being in front of the cat?
Please shine some light on this subject.
First off the computer (PCM) is always monitoring O2 sensor for switching. Lets say it goes from rich-lean six times a second, then it starts going slower say 3 times a second the computer picks up on this and sets a fault code.
Sounds like the sensor is bad.
Usually on cars with two O2 sensors ( I think Cavs have 2 correct me if I'm wrong) bank one is the one on the intake, bank 2 is the one after the car.

yay now thats its finally a sticky, check the top of this forum and you'll see a sticky that says whats your cel mean. just look up your code

cavaliers dont even have 2 banks. if anything it said bank one sensor 2. Inline engines only have 1 bank im pulling the same code along with other codes relating to o2 sensors i bettr just buy the damn things already
