I'm fixing up my 96 cavalier 2.2 so i can sell it, it sat for a while, but it didnt even run right before, i found out that a coil (1-4) was gone so i changed that. it started right up, but the Whole car was shaking and the engine was vibrating like crazy. The exhaust also doesnt sound normal...PUTT PUTT PUTT PUTT PUTTT.
It also showed a code, i checked it with my OBOII reader, it came up as INJECTOR CIRCUT MALFUNCTION. just for fun i changed the computer to a spare that i had, started the car and its still skaing, but its a bit better, but that could be because it warmed up a bit by this point, the code didnt come back, but i get a FLASHING check engine light, but nothing comes up on my reader.
The car runs mint if i give it gas, Smooth and no vibrating, as soon as i let go...PUTT PUTT PUTT PUTT
Flashing check engine light means that a misfire was significant enough to do damage to the cat. convertor.
First thing is make sure your plug wires are in order, and that they are tightly secured.

i just noticed that the engine light is some how making the rad fan come on, The car runs for about 1-2 minutes, then the check engine light comes on and at that same second the rad fan comes on and stays on, the car isnt even at operating temp yet.
