adjust idle speed and timing????

I had a person tell me that my 03 cavalier needed to have the idle speed adjusted and the timing adjusted. i drive a manual 2.2 eco but have never heard of having to do this to my car....does this guy not know what he is talking about or does he

He may be referring to the fix for the stalling issue on manuals though. I think they had to recalibrate the computer or something.

that guy is what we car enthusiast like to call " A complete Moron"

the timing and idle is a controlled by the PCM

i believe there was a recall for this. not positive, but i think they had one to reprogram the PCM to correct the stalling and idle issues

yes this is true my car was stalling in idle and they simply said they reflashed the pcm...problem fixed.
